Keynote Speakers

Dr Hone Kaa, Chair (Ngati Porou, Ngati Kahungunu)
The Venerable Doctor Hone Kaa is a Senior Anglican Minister and lecturer in pastoral care at St John's Theological College in Auckland. Dr Kaa is a veteran Maori activist and seasoned media professional who has previously held positions as Director of Radio Aotearoa, and Associate Producer for TVNZ. He is the Chair of Te Kahui Mana Ririki (TKMR), a Maori Child Wellness Forum established to over see the plan developed at last year's Maori Child Abuse Summit, Nga Mana Ririki.

Dr Colin Tukuitonga
Colin is the chief executive of the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs, a registered medical practitioner and public health physician with extensive experience in public health and public policy in the Pacific, New Zealand and internationally. He has provided strategic and operational advice to the NZ Ministries of Health, Pacific Island Affairs and NZAID, the Accident Compensation Corporation, regional and international organizations including SPC, WHO and other UN organisations. Dr Tukuitonga selects the studies and provides the expert commentary for Pacific Health Review.

Dr Alison Blaiklock
Alison Blaiklock is Executive Director of Health Promotion Forum. She is a doctor who has specialised in health promotion, child health, the determinants of health and human rights. In her voluntary life she chaired Action for Children and Youth Aotearoa, a coalition promoting the rights and wellbeing of children and your people.
