This is a key role in leading this small health promotion organisation in a changing dynamic environment.
The Health Promotion Forum works to enable people to enjoy health. The Forum takes a broad approach to health promotion and is committed to Te Tiriti O Waitangi, improving the determinants of health and social equity. Hauora is a taonga, a human right founded on respect for the mana of people. The Forum works to build strong communities through workforce development.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate outstanding skills and commitment to:
- Leadership of HPF services within a complex environment
- Enhancing strategic relationships and building partnerships in the sector
- Competence in engagement at board and stakeholder level with strong advocacy skills
- Facilitating change that supports the vision and goals of the Forum and health outcomes
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
In addition you will contribute a demonstrated understanding of health and related issues for less advantaged groups as well as effective leadership of diverse groups of people in public health or non Government organisations.

The Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) is New Zealand's largest public health unit, working to promote and protect the health and wellbeing of all people in the Auckland region are looking for three people who are skilled and enthusiastic to join their health promotion team.
The successful people will be experienced health promoters who are committed to reducing health inequalities and increasing wellbeing for communities. They have successfully built strategic, collaborative relationships with communities and organisations. They have the creativity and confidence to work with people at all levels and bring a strong customer service ethic.
Their abilities in planning, implementing and evaluating health promotion programmes are evident and to top if off they are proactive, organised and self managing.
